Description: In British times, a princess picked up a towel by the river and caught the eye of a British officer. Though promised to another king, the officer lured her away with wealth. When the rightful king returned, he demanded her back. At her dwelling, the father sat on a large pile of clothes while the king was given only a small one, which he refused, demanding more. Realizing he had settled for less, the father fell silent. It is said his true desire was land which is why Banfera village in Kanubari (Tirap) grew so vast.
