Title: The legendary of Sopfünuo

Language: Angami

Description: Sopfünuo, a beautiful woman from Rüsoma, marries a man from another village.
She is known for her loyalty and beautiful attire for her husband. However, some women become envious and incite her husband to divorce her.
Sopfünuo is forced to leave with her child, carrying a burning torch at night. On their journey, she is struck by an evil spirit and dies. Her child, left behind, also dies soon after, pierced by a bone from his mother’s decomposing body.
The mother and child are believed to have transformed into two stones, one larger and one smaller.
Villagers from Rüsoma, upon hearing the news, search for them and find the stones. They initially struggle to move the stones, but when they move both together, the fierce storm that hindered them subsides. The stones are then brought back to Rüsoma and become a symbol of their enduring story.
