Nisapa and Nisala, two young lovers from a tribal village, faced numerous challenges. Despite Nisala’s parents’ disapproval, they continued to see each other. Nisala tricked her parents and another suitor to be with Nisapa, but eventually, she was married off to the other man. Nisapa searched for her and found her, but they were separated again.

Nisala escaped her husband’s clutches and reached Nisapa’s village, where he covered her modesty with his shawl. She returned to her parents’ home, but her longing for Nisapa made her ill. She died, and Nisapa soon followed, requesting to be buried next to her.

In the spirit world, Nisala’s mother communicated with Nisapa’s soul, learning that a bamboo piece between their graves separated them. After removing it, Nisala’s mother had another encounter with Nisapa’s spirit, who conveyed peace and happiness, indicating they had finally reunited.

Their love, which withstood trials and tribulations, transcended the physical world, and they found eternal solace in the afterlife, their spirits forever entwined.
