Title: The tale of Satan and Man

Language: Sumi

Description: In the video, an elder narrates a traditional folktale passed down from our ancestors. It tells that Satan was created before mankind and was the first to arrive on earth, so he calls humans his brothers. Man and Satan once worked together in farming. To help, Satan gathered all the troublesome weeds of the field under a stone and warned man not to lift it. But out of curiosity, man uncovered the stone and the weeds scattered back across the land. Angered, Satan refused to help again and went his own way. Like many folktales, this story explains the conflict between man and the devil and shows how human weakness brings hardship into the world.
