From time immemorial we Nagas did not had real language and the recorded time of our culture history and traditions,yet we came along to preserve our identity and traditions through songs and folklores. Amongst all,singing was the main form of expressing the thoughts and events of the people, throughout every history signing has accompanied the naga peoples through the time.
As we dive in deeper we learn that singing is the main form of preserving history and narrating stories and events. The mentioned video is about an expression of people appreciating new season or life, this song is mainly sung by our ancestors in a dialect known to yimkhiung community,the first line tells about the blooming of a flower, the beauty of new life like that of a spring season, the second verse implies the appreciation of this new flower by the people and lastly it is sung and performed by both male and female during festive seasons.
