With PhD in Linguistics from JNU, he got trained and has ample field linguistics experience in documentary linguistics. He conducted field works for endangered languages in Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Karnataka for more than a decade. His Liangmai language Documentary materials can be found at the CoRSAL digital archive owned by University of North Texas. He also serves as Assistant Professor at the Department of Linguistics, Tetso College.
