Wichamdinbo Mataina holds a PhD in Linguistics from JNU and has extensive training and experience in documentary and field linguistics. With over a decade of fieldwork on endangered languages across Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Karnataka, he has contributed significantly to language documentation. His Liangmai language documentary materials can be found at the CoRSAL, a digital language archive at the University of North Texas. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Tetso College.
