A brief description on benefits of section 80G how to claim deduction u/s 80G –
Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, allows taxpayers to save tax by donating money to eligible charitable institutions and organizations. By donating to eligible institutions and organizations, taxpayers can claim deductions ranging from 50% to 100% of the amount donated subject to Maximum Limit or without Maximum Limit. However, it’s important to note that this deduction can only be claimed by taxpayers who have opted for the old tax regime. Taxpayers under the new tax regime cannot avail of this deduction benefit.
You will be issued a receipt upon donation made which will include all the details you will need to claim your deduction when you file your tax return.
